6. House System

To enhance pastoral care of our students, the school has a house system in which every student from class I to class X is a member of one of the four houses viz. Lachit, Kalam, Tagore and Raman. Each house is guided by teachers. Captains and Vice-captains of each house are selected by the teachers. Inter-house competitions are held regularly to enhance team spirit, develop leadership and social skills as well as compassion for others. Academics, sports, discipline, conduct, punctuality, regularity and all other extra curricular activities will be taken into account to decide the performance of each house. The best house will be declared towards the end of the scholastic year.

Attendance Requirements

Attendance requirements ensure that students attend school regularly and on time, as consistent attendance is key to academic success and discipline. Students are expected to maintain a minimum attendance percentage of 80 to be eligible for promotions, examinations, and participation in school activities.

Absences must be supported by a writing in the ABSENCE PAGE in the Hand Book and signed by the parents as well as the school co-ordinator. Absence can also be communicated to the school in advance, as frequent or unexplained absences may affect academic performance and lead to disciplinary action.

Absence for more than 4 days will require a valid reason (Medical Certificate).

Plagiarism and Conduct Rules

Plagiarism is the act of using someone else’s work, ideas, or words without giving proper credit, and it is considered dishonest and unfair. At school, students are expected to submit original work and acknowledge any sources they use.

Following conduct rules means showing respect for teachers, classmates, and school property, maintaining discipline, being honest in studies, and following classroom and campus guidelines.

These rules help create a safe, respectful, and fair learning environment where everyone can achieve their best. Damaging school property will lead to disciplinary action including repairing the damage or suspension from school.
