"Education starts from the cradle and ends in the grave".

Education can and should be a journey of enlightenment through which students graduate happy, healthy, and with the ability to use their full mental capacity. If we allow students to graduate without reaching their potential, then we cannot expect them to be happy well-adjusted individuals able to come up with the holistic solutions necessary to solve the many urgent problems facing our world today. Our Motto "Gateway to Enlightenment" focuses on the fact that Green Meadows School is a path to enlightenment which is the birthright of every individual.

In addition, Enlightenment means living one's full mental potential, and being in harmony with natural law. Our endeavour is to enlighten our students academically as well as morally. It is said "A person without character is like a boat without a radar". So we at Green Meadows School try to inculcate moral values and ethics in our students to make them better citizens of tomorrow.

FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK

Message to Our Community

Dear Parents and Students,

Director

At the onset, I would like to acknowledge and express my gratitude to all of you for your relentless support that you extended in overcoming the tough times that shook the whole world as a result of the pandemic. The year 2020 started with the lockdown declared by the government to control Covid-19. It was a very tough phase as the concept was unfamiliar. Virtual classrooms overtook physical classrooms. Maintaining physical distance, wearing face masks, and sanitization became the order of the day. But together we stood firm during these tested times. Students and teachers missed the school as offline classes can never be replaced by online classes.

Another misfortune had befallen us as on 9th August 2020, our beloved Founder and Chairman of the school, Alhaj Makbul Ali, left us for his heavenly abode at the age of 84 years. We were completely devastated and heartbroken. He was the pillar of strength for each one of us. His void can never be filled. He will be missed dearly.

By the end of the year, when normalcy returned, the schools were opened in phases. We all were so very happy to welcome the students and teachers back to the school. But unfortunately, the schools had to be closed again at the beginning of 2021 due to lockdown as a result of a second wave of Covid-19. We are hopeful that this phase will also come to an end, and the sun will rise again and enlighten us all.

Our motto "Gateway to Enlightenment" lays emphasis on enlightening the youth of today through education, sports, creativity, music, and character building. Education makes a man intelligent, but character makes him an ideal human being.

Our aim is a holistic approach for the all-round development of the students. We encourage students to develop a sense of discipline and responsibility through a well-planned academic schedule, House system, various inter-school and intra-school competitions, and sports activities.

We affirm that education begins at birth and continues through life. Our complete focus is to provide a support centre to our children so that they continue learning and developing towards becoming whole and healthy individuals.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK

A Warm Welcome

Dear Students, Parents, and Well-Wishers,

I am immensely delighted to welcome you aboard this year’s school magazine. At the onset, I take the opportunity to congratulate our students, parents, well-wishers, and staff members of our school on the successful completion of another scholastic year.

We were granted the CBSE affiliation in June 2016. This was a great achievement for all of us, which was the outcome of our combined endeavor. My heart fills with immense pleasure as I perceive the progress being made at Green Meadows School. The seeds of an idea sown in 2006 have taken firm root, and the school is growing into a strong sapling.
